Chai Vekayam: Emergency Charity Launch
Designed and launched a charity website in 72 hours to support families affected by the October 7th attacks. Created the complete brand identity and e-commerce platform, enabling immediate fundraising—resulting in 84 Shabbat baskets delivered and over $13,400 raised for Yarden Bibas' rehabilitation. This is ongoing work I'm proud to be part of, providing design and development support as the mission continues.
Focus: Nonprofit e-commerce, mission-driven design, rapid launch
Role: Brand & Product Designer and Developer
Software: Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign
The Challenge
The charity had no brand, no website, no infrastructure—just an urgent mission and families waiting for help. The site needed to clearly communicate purpose, enable secure donations and apparel purchases, build donor trust, and track real impact. Every hour mattered when people needed support immediately.
Brand Identity
Created a complete visual identity from scratch—logo, typography, color system, establishing trust and professionalism. Developed "Look good while doing good" positioning, connecting Jewish pride apparel with meaningful giving.
E-Commerce Platform
Designed conversion-focused website with donation flows, apparel shop, impact tracking, and multiple program areas (youth entrepreneur program, university collaborations, community events, grassroots fundraising). Built for volunteers to manage without technical expertise.
Rapid Launch & Growth
Launched a fully functional platform in 72 hours, immediately enabling fundraising and order fulfillment. Platform now supports 5 university partnerships, 7 organizational collaborations, and 11+ community events—scaling far beyond initial emergency response.
