I had the honor of submitting designs for the 59th year of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Jessup is the world's largest moot court competition, with participants from over 645 law schools in 95 countries. The Competition is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice, the judicial organ of the United Nations.
By using these simple colors we can really focus on what the icons mean and what impact they have in this years Jessup.
This will be a different approach for Jessup, but will set it apart from other years. We can also add some selective color in for the name tags and other swag. This way when we do use color it will be more impacting.
I wanted to bring in a military feel, the background is a metal texture. Along with the swag options.
Each icon has its own direction with the missile going up and the submarine going down. The icons represent each side of the problem in a straightforward way. I kept this quite minimalistic as I felt it had the most impact. #whichdirectionareyou
